Press Release: For Immediate Release
CollegeAdmissionsTips.com Partners with the California Association of School Counselors
May 18th, 2011 CollegeAdmissionsTips.com is excited to announce a partnership with the California Association of School Counselors to get 1000 copies of The Keys to the CASTLE: Mentor in a Book into the hands of 1000 high school students throughout the state of California for free.
The Keys to the CASTLE gives college admissions secrets and tips to students and their families who need help navigating the college application process. Author Kamala Appel wrote The Keys to the CASTLE: Mentor in a Book based on her experiences as a former recruiter and interviewer for the Office of Admissions at Yale University. She has teamed up with the California Association of School Counselors (CASC) to help students gain access to insider college admissions information they need at an affordable rate. Students who cannot afford to pay to participate can receive a free copy and coaching if they are members of underrepresented populations at colleges, and/or the first generation to attend college, and are nominated by their school counselor to participate. Preference will be given to motivated juniors (students graduating in spring 2012).
School Counselors who are members of CASC may nominate up to 100 students from their school who will be able to receive all of the benefits mentioned below for free; those nominated by school counselors who are not CASC members will be asked to pay $30 for the book and coaching sessions (discounted from a $200+s value).
Students
who are selected will receive the following: (1) a copy of the book, (2) weekly
reminders that will help set the pace, and (3) admission to three live
teleseminars/webinars that enable students to ask questions and receive
clarification. The summer program will run June 20 through August 22, 2011
so that students will be prepared for the college application process come fall
of their senior year.
